Francisca Mayambala, Renaisi-TSIP
Project Officer
Francisca is a Project Officer in the consultancy team at Renaisi. She has a background in both qualitative and quantitative research, with a particular focus on socially and economically marginalised communities. Before joining Renaisi, Francisca co-led a research project at the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, where she applied mixed research methods to examine the impact of the cost-of-living crisis on colleagues and developed policy recommendations aimed at improving staff financial resilience. She has experience in supporting the development and implementation of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion initiatives within Higher Education. This included exploring barriers to opportunity for minority staff and student groups, evaluating the impact of existing work practices and mobilising support around systemic change.
Working as a carer has given her four years of front-line experience in the public sector. It was here she learned the importance of shaping service delivery around lived experiences, which sparked her interest in learning and evaluation.
At Renaisi she is currently conducting research to evaluate the Youth Endowment Fund Peer Action Collective programme – which aims to give young people the chance to make their communities safer, fairer places to live – and the London Violence Reduction Unit’s Women and Young Girls Mentoring programme – which provides community-based support services for at risk girls and young women.
