Our stories

At The Giving Lab, we believe that stories inspire and motivate people and have the ability to touch hearts and minds. It is for this reason that we are keen to have the Giving Lab community share more of their own stories.

In our efforts to ensure that the community have the necessary skills and confidence to tell their own stories, we’ve partnered with On Our Radar, an award-winning media organisation that combines a participatory approach with journalistic standards to produce stories that are distinct, raw, and intimate. 

In August 2023, On Our Radar provided bespoke training to the TGL community, helping them to craft and share their TGL stories, reflect on ethics and risks, identify misinformation and verify stories, and shift power through community reporting. 

COMMUNITY REPORTERS

The outcome of the storytelling training was the development of a TGL storytelling network - specifically dedicated to amplifying community voices and sharing local stories. Stay tuned for the profiles of each community reporter.
