BECOME A COMMUNITY LEARNER

WHAT IS A COMMUNITY LEARNER?

A community learner is trained in evaluation which includes data collection, data analysis and evaluation. They learn how to capture stories, measure a project's success and share learnings with other members of the community in an engaging way. As projects are being developed, community learners create an evaluation plan and then deliver that plan once the project is funded.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?

To become a community learner, you will need to take part in 16 hours of training which will be delivered over two weeks. You will be paid for your time at a rate of £11 per hour.

Once trained, your pay rate increases to £15 per hour. You’ll then meet with your idea team on a schedule decided amongst members, with each meeting lasting approximately 2 hours. There will be opportunities for additional support if your team has extra questions or reflections.

Once your idea team has received funding, you'll evaluate their project and share the learnings with the rest of the community.
